Joe Willock - is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Newcastle United. Willock was Arsenal's youth academy product and was loaned to Newcastle United during the 2020-21 season.
Joe made his Premier League debut against Newcastle United on 15 April 2018. He scored his first senior goal on 29 November 2018 in a 3–0 UEFA Europa League victory away at Vorskla Poltava. He then scored his first brace in a 3–0 FA Cup victory away at Blackpool on 5 January 2019. On 12 September 2019, it was announced that Joe had signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal. On 19 September 2019, he played as Arsenal won 3–0 against Eintracht Frankfurt by scoring deflected effort to open the scoring in the opening matchday of the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League. Joe scored his first goal at the Emirates Stadium on 24 September 2019 after tapping-in Arsenal's third goal in a 5–0 EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest, set-up by Héctor Bellerín. On 25 June 2020, he scored his first Premier League goal in a 2–0 win over Southampton.
On 1 February 2021, Joe Willock joined Newcastle United on loan for the remainder of the 2020–21 season. He scored in the 16th minute on his debut for Newcastle against Southampton on 6 February. After scoring in three consecutive substitute appearances against Tottenham, West Ham and Liverpool, Joe was rewarded with a start against Leicester City, where he was once again on target, scoring the opening goal in a 4–2 win for Newcastle. On 14 May, Willock scored in a 4–3 defeat for Newcastle against Manchester City. On 19 May, he scored in his sixth consecutive league game, becoming the youngest player in Premier League history to do so at the age of 21 years and 272 days, a record previously held by Romelu Lukaku. Four days later, on the final day of the Premier League season, he scored again to equal the Newcastle United record of consecutive games scored in, with club legend Alan Shearer.
Joe Willock has represented England at Under 16, 19, 20 & 21 levels, scoring 5 goals in 19 games.
Joe Willock was born in Waltham Forest, Greater London. His brothers, Chris and Matty, are also footballers. All three brothers shared a pitch when Manchester United played a reserve game against Arsenal in May 2017. He is of Montserratian descent.
Chris Willock - is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Championship club Queens Park Rangers. He was born in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, he joined Arsenal's academy when he was five years old. He, then aged 16, appeared for the Arsenal first team in a pre-season friendly in 2014 when Arsène Wenger described him as a "very interesting player". At the end of the 2015–16 season, he scored and provided two assists in a victory over Aston Villa in the U21 Premier League play-off final held at the Emirates Stadium. He made his first team debut on 20 September 2016 against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup.
On 30 June 2017, Willock signed a five-year contract with Portuguese champions Benfica. On 8 August 2019, Chris joined West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan with options to review the agreement in January; however, he did not make a single appearance for West Brom in the four months he was there. He then joined Huddersfield Town on 31 January 2020. He went on to score 2 goals for the club with one of those being against West Brom the team he had just been loaned at. On 5 October 2020, Chris joined Championship side Queens Park Rangers for £750,000 on a three-year deal with an option for a further year. He scored his first goal for QPR in a 1–0 win over Cardiff City on 20 January 2021. On 10 December 2021, Chris Willock was awarded the EFL Championship Player of the Month award for November 2021 after scoring three and assisting the other three of his side's six goals in the month. Chris has represented England at Under 16, 17, 18, 19 & 20 level. Scoring 7 goals in 47 games.
Matty Willock - is a professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for EFL League Two club Salford City. Born in England, he represents the Montserrat national team and has recently made 2 appearances.
He began his football career with Arsenal before moving to Manchester United, where he spent seven years. He went on loan to Dutch team FC Utrecht in 2017, and Scottish clubs St Johnstone and St Mirren the following year. In 2019, he went on loan to Crawley Town before being released by United, subsequently being signed by Gillingham, where he spent two years. Matty had a spell with the Arsenal youth ranks up until 2011, when he was released at the age of 15. He subsequently had trials with Championship team Reading and Premier League team Sunderland prior to joining Manchester United in 2012. He first featured for the academy at the 2012 Northern Ireland Youth Soccer Tournament before playing for the Under-18s domestically, the Under-19s in the UEFA Youth League and then the Under-23s. He appeared on the senior squad's bench twice during the 2016–17 season, being an unused substitute in home matches against West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace. He signed a new two-year contract in August 2017, prior to leaving on loan.
After spending two weeks on trial, he signed for League Two club Salford City on 4 August. Starting in central midfield on his début on 7 August, he scored Salford's equaliser in their opening game of the season in a 1–1 draw against Leyton Orient, described by Sky Sports as a "30-yard thunderbolt". International career
Matty was called up to the Montserrat squad for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification in June 2021. He debuted with Montserrat in a 4–0 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification win over the US Virgin Islands on 2 June 2021.
